This was a super fun episode with President of Real Estate for Deloitte Canada, Sheila Botting. Much of our conversation centred around the future of commercial real estate. We spoke about the following: - Deloitte's cross Canada real estate strategy shift (eg. in Toronto Deloitte went from working out of 11 different office buildings to housing all employees at the flagship Bay-Adelaide tower. - Cybersecurity in the future of real estate - The changing nature of each asset class - How self-driving cars will effect commercial real estate - Diversity in real estate, and a whole lot more.
