Peter is responsible for our global real estate portfolio, which is diversified across twenty global markets and currently exceeds C$50 Billion. Peter Ballon occupies the position of Managing Director & Global Head of Real Estate at Canada Pension Plan Investment Board Private Investments and Global Head of Real Estate at CPP Investment Board Infrastructure. Mr. Ballon is also on the board of International Council of Shopping Centers, Inc. and Aliansce Sonae Shopping Centers SA and Global Chairman at The Urban Land Institute and Vice President-Real Estate Investments Department at Canadian Pension Plan Investment Board.

Prior to joining CPP Investments in 2007, Peter worked with several leading real estate companies, including Canderel, Brookfield and TrizecHahn. Peter holds a BComm from McGill University and an MBA from the Ivey School of Business at Western University; and has been granted the ICD.D designation by the Institute of Corporate Directors.

He is on the board of Brazilian public company Aliansce Sonae, a member of Global Board of Directors of the Urban Land Institute and is a Trustee of the International Council of Shopping Centers.
